Anna Murray: The Waters are Speaking
The Waters Are Speaking is an immersive ritual installation by artist Anna Murray and the first public exhibition from her new project WELL SPACE.
An embodied journey through moving image, sound, sculpture and ritual, the installation invites visitors into a contemplative relationship with water: not simply as a resource, but as a living presence, a keeper of memory, and a source of connection.
Drawing on more than a decade of research into water, pattern, symbolism and ecological consciousness, Murray’s practice has been shaped by journeys to ancient wells, springs and rivers, alongside field recordings, collected sound and visual documentation gathered over many years. She creates an archival sensory environment where art becomes a ceremonial space for listening, reflection and renewal. In a time of profound ecological and cultural change, the work invites us to slow down, listen differently, and reconnect with the living systems that sustain all life. Where true wellbeing is inextricably linked with that of the natural world.
Anna Murray is an ecological artist and founder of WELL SPACE. Formerly co-founder of the internationally recognised creative studio Patternity, she has spent over two decades exploring pattern, nature and interconnected systems through art, design and participatory experiences. Her work has been presented with institutions including the Barbican, the V&A, Google and Somerset House.
The Waters Are Speaking marks the beginning of WELL SPACE, an evolving global platform exploring the relationship between art, ecology, ritual and collective repair.
Visitors are invited to enter the space, slow down, and listen.
The Waters Are Speaking will unfold through a series of intimate guided hourly ritual sessions, creating space for collective attention, reflection and connection. Booking details will be announced soon.
